Juan Antonio Moreno-Bravo

Principal Investigator

Juan Antonio got his PhD degree at the Universidad Miguel Hernandez de Elche in 2015 .

​

Currently, he is Ramón y Cajal Researcher and leads the research team "Development, Wiring and Function of Cerebellar Circuits".

Raquel Murcia

Research Assistant

Raquel joined the lab in January 2021. She is  Biotechnologist holding a MSc in Neurosciences from the UMH.

Currently, she is in charge of the maintenance of the lab, mouse colonies and in utero surgeries.

Sara Camacho

PhD Student

Sara joined the lab in September 2021. She is a Biotechnologist holding a MSc in Neurosciences.

She has worked in several national and international laboratories such as Fundación Jiménez Díaz and Ramón y Cajal Health Research Institutes in Madrid; Neurobiology Department at KU Leuven University (Belgium) and the Institute of Experimental Medicine in Prague (Czech Republic). 

Jorge Mallor

Project Manager

Jorge has joined the group in June 2021.

He manages the budget, expenses and accountability of the research grants. He also coordinates and provides support for the purchases of the laboratory consumables.

Martina Riva

Postdoctoral Researcher

Martina joined the lab in January 2022. She holds a MSc in Biology from the University of Milano-Bicocca and in Genetics from the University of Paris Diderot. She got her PhD in Neurobiology at the University of Paris in 2021 working in IPNP and Imagine Institutes under the supervision of Dr. Alessandra Pierani. During her PhD work she focused on the role of Cajal-Retzius cells and Reelin in normal and pathological cortical development.

Cristian Arnal-Real

Postdoctoral Researcher

Cristian joined the lab in June 2022. He holds a MSc in Neurosciences from the University of Valencia. He got his PhD in Neurosciences at the University of Picardie Jules Verne (France) in 2021 working in epilepsy under the supervision of Dr. Fabrice Wallois. During his PhD work he focused on the role of Interictal Epileptic Spikes activity and all the liked disturbances of the intimate functional balance between various neuronal (synaptic and non-synaptic), vascular, and metabolic compartments.

Ana Moreno Cerdá

PhD Student

Ana joined the lab in February 2022. She has studied  Biomedical Sciences at the University of Lleida and holds a MSc in Neuroscience. After she graduated, she has been working in understanding the development of the epithalamus  under the supervision of Dr. Eduardo de Puelles in the Experimental Embryology group at the Instituto de Neurociencias de Alicante.

Ángeles Arzalluz Luque

Postdoctoral Researcher

Ángeles joined the lab in April 2024. She obtained an MSc in Systems Biology from the University of Edinburgh, after which she pursued a PhD in Bioinformatics under the supervision of Dr. Ana Conesa and Dr. Sonia Tarazona. During her PhD, she worked in the development of novel computational methods for the study of alternative isoforms in single-cell RNA-seq data, gaining broad expertise in transcriptomics, long-read and multi-omic data analyses, both at the bulk and single-cell levels under the supervision of Dr. Ana Conesa (Institute for Integrative Systems Biology, Valencia) and Dr. Sonia Tarazona (Universitat Politècnica de València).
